The short answer
Your personal reset time is the time shown in your Codex usage view. A public reset announcement may describe an extra reset or a credit for eligible users; it does not establish a universal recurring schedule.

1. Your personal usage window
Your account may show usage allowances and their recovery times. Use the limits displayed in your own Codex account as the reference for your personal schedule. A public tracker cannot read that information.
2. A public reset event
An announcement may describe an additional reset for a stated group of users. Eligibility and rollout timing belong to that individual announcement. A public event is separate from the regular schedule displayed in your account.
3. A reset credit
A credit announcement describes an allowance to apply a reset, rather than necessarily changing every eligible user’s balance immediately. Follow the instructions and conditions provided in your account and the original announcement.
How to check whether a reset affected you
- Open Settings or your Codex usage dashboard and read the current allowance and recovery time. In an active Codex CLI session, enter
/status. - Open the original announcement from the history page.
- Check the stated plans, users, timing, and whether it describes a credit or an immediate reset.
- If the announcement and your account differ, consult official support rather than assuming the tracker confirms your balance.
Can QuotaReset restore my allowance?
No. QuotaReset is an independent information site. It cannot apply credits, change your subscription, or access your account.
Why there is no countdown to a surprise reset
Past intervals do not establish a schedule. Our homepage clock counts time since the latest reported event; it does not count down to an unannounced event.
